We have been through a very hot summer this year and we are thankful that the landscaping in our community has survived so well. If the drought conditions continue we may be instructed to conserve water and restrictions will be imposed at which time we will have to make a decision on where to cut back on landscape watering. We will keep you informed on this as and when the time comes. Work continues on the Legends Restoration Projects in the rear planters behind the residents' homes. With the cooler weather, the trimming, replanting and refreshing of rock boarders is now back on schedule. Additionally, the Committee is recommending to the Board, the upgrade of computer software and hardware for the irrigation controllers, for our automated irrigation systems. The tree trimming season is here and you will see the professional tree trimmers at work throughout our community. Some of the pines will be deferred for trimming in the spring of 2022 so that the pine needle shedding will be less during the summer months. We are excited to welcome three new members of the Landscape Committee, Gary Fell, Kay Mitchell and Harold Voorheis, they bring valuable experience and enthusiasm to our team. We now have eight members on the Landscape Committee. The Landscape Committee meets on the first Wednesday of the month at 1 pm at The Lodge. Residents are welcome to attend. Please check with The Lodge about any restrictions in attending the meeting in person. The Landscape Committee wishes everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. 10 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | NOVEMBER 2021 | Landscape Committee
