CLUBS & GROUPS | LIFE IN SOLERA | NOVEMBER 2021 | 23
"Giving is a booster for your sense of well-being. It gets the
focus away from what you don't have and onto what you do."
If you are a happy, outgoing and energetic individual who is looking
for a way to be of service here in our Solera community, members of
the Sunshine Club would love to meet you. When a resident is ill, we
send cards to cheer them. For an overnight hospital stay or a death in
the immediate family, we deliver flowers or fruit baskets. The funds
we reap from our recycling efforts pay for these gifts.
RECYCLING REMINDERS!
It is important to remember that all plastic water bottles, juice and
tea drink bottles as well as all aluminum cans (for which you paid
the redemption fee) are recyclable for cash. Each recyclable item is
clearly imprinted on its label or side with the words CA-CRV or CA
CASH REFUND.
Other containers such as milk, peanuts, mouthwash as well as
metal cans other than aluminum such as cat food are not recyclable
for cash and should go into your gray recycle container supplied by
Waste Management.
Our Club meets on the third Wednesday of every month at 2:00
pm in the Arts & Crafts Room. If you have any questions, you may
contact Judy Charlick at (951) 769-6465.
