After a one-year layoff due to COVID, the Oldlympics
were back. This annual competition for Riverside seniors 50
years and older is sponsored by the Valley-Wide Recreation
and Park District. Once again, SDV residents showed up in
force to garner a share of gold, silver and bronze medals.
Below is a list of our winning neighbors. Credit goes to
all our participating Solerans. Medaling or not, they're all
champions!
Bill Coles: 7 Gold medals in swimming; Gold medal in
Bench Press
Terry Vise: 5 Gold medals in swimming
Dave Clark: 3 Gold medals in swimming
Diana Carofano: 2 Gold medals in swimming; Gold
medal in the Women's Fun-Tathlon; Gold medal and Best
Lift of the Day in Women's Bench Press
Chuck Orrico: Gold medal winner in Blackjack
Tournament; Silver medal in Men's Pickle ball; Silver medal
in Men's Fun-Tathlon; and a Bronze medal in Track and
