I have to ask this question: did this year go by quickly for you? Boy, it sure did for me. Maybe it seems quick because of all the fun Karaoke and dance parties we had this year. Most folks have been really fired up to get out again and do things since the quarantine rules were lifted. We have been excited to see so many new people attend our Karaoke events recently and this gives us optimism for our events in the coming year. We are not having a Sun Lakes Karaoke show this December 2021 because our regularly-scheduled date falls on Christmas Eve. However, we look forward to seeing you again Fri., Jan. 22, 2022 in the South Clubhouse starting at around 5:30 or 6 pm, (depending on the availability of the room). She is inviting everyone to come to our December general meeting. It will be held at the South Clubhouse on Thurs., Dec. 16, at 1 pm. Joanne would love for you to be a part of the Follies, be it on stage or behind the scenes. We will be discussing what's coming up next for our 2022 Sun Lakes Follies Show. Come by and get acquainted with our members. We hope to see you there! Our general meetings are held every third Thursday of the month at 1 pm in the South Clubhouse. Karaoke Group Chorale The Sun Lakes Chorale presented its Annual Holiday Concert Series to the community last month, and its members are relaxing and enjoying the month of December with their families and friends before reconvening in January. The Chorale is open to membership for any Sun Lakes resident. It is divided into five sections: sopranos, altos, tenors, basses, and baritones. Our practice sessions are held on Mondays from 9:30 am to 12:15 pm. Prior to each of our two annual concerts, additional practices for individual sections are held on Thursdays. Rehearsals for our Spring Concert series begins with member registration at 8:30 am on Mon., Jan. 17 in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. Our first rehearsal follows in the ballroom at 9:30 am. There is a membership fee of $25 for each concert season.
