The Art League has no meetings or classes in December, and we
all look forward to a healthy new year in 2022. Our next meeting
will be Sun., Jan. 9 in the South Clubhouse at 2 pm.
At the October meeting we were privileged to have local artist,
Sharon Rachal (pictured below), as our special guest. She gave
a wonderful demonstration in watercolor painting, as she spoke
to us about her life and long career as a working artist. She and
her husband owned an art store in Yucaipa for 40 years, where he
did the framing and she taught painting classes and they sold art
supplies.
She gave everyone who attended the meeting one of her
beautifully painted and signed bookmarks. She also taught the
November watercolor classes in the Main Clubhouse. It was a
wonderful opportunity to learn from this exceptional artist.
The winners of the October Mini Art Show (at right) were:
"Best of Show," Roz Miller; 1st Place, Ramon Salcido; 2nd Place,
Joann Quigley; 3rd Place, John Wells.

A message from our President:
The holiday season is upon us and I want to extend my greetings
and well wishes to all. A special thanks to Jerry Searcy, our former
President, for getting us started again in 2021. Under his direction we
had our first board meeting in April and then we resumed our general
meetings in May. We have had a great show of enthusiasm and support
from all who have attended our monthly meetings and participated in
our Art Walk. I personally want to thank all who have stepped up with
their ideas, work, and commitment to our club. There is a new sense of
excitement and the new year looks even brighter. My wishes to all for
a wonderful and joyous holiday season with family and friends, and
to a prosperous and healthy new year. ~ Sharon Salcido
