6 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | DECEMBER 2021 |
DID YOU KNOW the transponders on your car or golf cart
can get damaged or just old, and stop functioning? If this happens,
you must use the guest lane to enter and show an ID, either your
driver's license or preferably, your Sun Lakes ID card. Why? For
your protection. Even though your car has the Sun Lakes Resident
sticker on it, community patrol does not know if the person behind
the wheel is actually the resident. Checking your ID just confirms
they are letting the right person into the community. Sometimes
a transponder will work fine on one gate, but not another. Please
let Securitas and the Administrative Office know if this happens so
they can take action. Thanks for your help! Ultimately, if you need
a new transponder, call Desiree at (951) 769-6659 to schedule an
appointment.
DID YOU KNOW that your overnight parking pass expires
at midnight on the last day shown on the pass? So, a parking pass
that expires on Dec. 23 will not give you all-night access for Dec. 23
because at 12:01 am, a new day begins. It's now Dec. 24. Community
patrol can issue passes for up to three days/two nights and these
passes begin on the day they are issued, no matter what time they are
issued. With the holiday season in full swing, please be sure that your
guests' overnight parking pass expires on the day they are leaving.
If your guests are staying longer than two nights, be sure they get
another pass the day the first pass expires.
DID YOU KNOW ANYONE may request a meeting with
the Board? If you have a question, concern, suggestion or idea, the
Board welcomes you to present it at an Executive Session. We are
your voice — you elected us to represent you and we want to know
what you're thinking. Here's how to get on the agenda: Email any
one of the Board members or Tami Morgan and let us know what
you'd like to discuss. The email addresses are listed on page 2 in this
Lifestyles magazine.
