The Veterans and Friends Club held to tradition and hosted a ceremony and luncheon on the 11th
month, on the 11th day, at the 11th hour. The sold-out event was attended by residents and family
members. When their table number was called, hungry eaters queued in a chow line and received
a scrumptious taco plate. During the luncheon, the Quilting Club honored five new Solera Veterans
with Quilts of Valor. Jim Harris and Greg Krebs held up the quilts for all to see. The Veterans and
Friends Club also presented donations to four local non-profits that assist Hemet veterans in need.
Those recipients were Jim Lineberger - Community Pantry; Jerry Chase - Cloverleaf Foundation;
Mike Wofford - Empire Mobility; and Sandy Dee - Pawsability.
Thank you, quilters . And, thank you Veterans for your service!
