Men's Golf
October each year is the month
in which we hold our Annual
Membership Meeting, wherein we ask our
members to vote on any major issues within
the Club, and especially to nominate and/or
approve candidates for open positions on
our CMGC Board of Directors. Of course, it's
been two years since we were able to hold
one of these meetings, so it was great to get
back to having an open discussion forum
again.
There were three open positions on the
CMGC Board needing to be filled for next
year, these being President, Vice President
and Membership Director. After voting by
the membership, I'm pleased to report that
these positions will be held by Mel Rich (top
left) as President, Jim Gillespie (middle left)
as Vice President and Bill Connelly (bottom
left) as Membership Director.
In recognition of Veterans Day, our Tournament
Director, Bruce Dalfonso, organized a Red, White and
Blue Scramble which meant that each hole was played from a
different one of those tees. It makes for a very different, but
very interesting game of golf! The great weather we're having
makes the game even more enjoyable. And the winners were
Joe Cwirka, Mike Basel, Billy Brown and Sam Currie.
On a very important point of note, any new members joining
the rest of this year will have their membership (CMGC and
SCGA) extended through all of 2022. For further information,
