All Seasons RV I can't believe how quickly this year has gone by. It is hard to believe we are wishing all of our friends and neighbors in Four Seasons a very Merry Christmas filled with love, joy, and happiness. The RV Club has been active in October and November. Some of our members made their annual October trip to the Colorado River. Others spent time at Lake Elsinore and reports are they had a fabulous time. The next trip was to Borrego Springs in early November. December is always quiet with the exception of our annual Christmas party which will be Dec. 14 at 5 pm at The Courts. If you have any questions with regard to our club and/or future RV trips, contact Bob Cooper at (951) 769-6352 or Larry Zimmerman at (909) 553-2798. Best wishes for a blessed holiday season. ~ Ann Williams, annwilymz@yahoo.com 60 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | DECEMBER 2021 The Four Seasons 8-Ball Club is now holding its two in-house tournaments each month, an 8-Ball tournament and a 9-Ball tournament. In the future (once it safe to do so), we hope to again play four additional tournaments each month, two with Hemet (Solera) and two Beaumont (Solera). Each community travels to Four Seasons once each month and we travel to their community once each month. We have a great time, win, or lose, but we prefer the win. Here's hoping that in the new year we can start the traditional match ups once again. The 8-Ball Club would like to give a big shout out to its two new members who bring a lot of new talent to the club. A big WELCOME to Kim Samuel and Joy Collins. In October, the 8-Ball Club held two in-house tournaments. In the 8-ball tournament we had nine players competing. Larry Rice went undefeated winning the final match against Leo Babin. Larry was lucky to come away with the win as Leo has really stepped up his game in recent months. He is probably the most improved player in the club and all the club members say his bank shots were awesome. I don't know how Leo does it. Congratulations to Larry Rice, this month's 8-Ball champion and to Leo Babin, runner up. In the 9-Ball tournament, we again had 9 players competing. Larry Rice again went almost undefeated. Larry sent Kim Samuel to the loser bracket in the third round of play. In the final match Kim Samuel came back to give Larry his first trip to the loser bracket. This led to a rematch with Kim Samuel winning with cheers and congratulations from the crowd. Congratulations to Kim Samuel, this month's 9-ball champion and to Larry Rice, runner up. Currently the 8-Ball Club plays or practices Monday, Wednesday, and Friday nights 6:30 to 9 pm. If you're new to the game or have played before, stop by and give us a try. Just walk in and ask for Del or Larry. The 8-Ball Club welcomes new members who would like to learn and play pool to join us. There is a calendar of our events in the Billiards Room on the 8-Ball Club bulletin board. Just stop by and check us out. If you have any questions about the 8-Ball Club, contact one of the officers: Captain Del Lyles, Sr. at (951) 845-5114 or Co-Captain Larry at Rice at (951) 236-1156. If there is no answer, leave a message and we'll get back to you. ~ Larry Rice 8-Ball Club Curly Cues Billiards Ladies, if you're looking for something to do on Monday mornings, come join us. We play from 10 am to 12 pm at The Lodge. Curly Cues is a ladies only billiards group and players of all levels are welcome! We have some awesome ladies who are more than willing to help you with your skills and we also welcome advice from the more experienced players. Many in our group have been with Curly Cues since the very beginning. It's a great way to meet new people and make friends, many lasting friendships have been formed over the years. We are missing one of our favorite ladies, Dianne Rothberg, and hope she can return to us soon. We look forward to seeing you!
