Donald E. Krampe graduated from Kemper Military School and completed 1st year Advanced R.O.T.C. along with six weeks at Officer's Camp at Fort Lewis, Washington. He served as Combat Marine in Inchon, South Korea on September 15, 1950. Donald Krampe went on to complete 2nd Year Advanced R.O.T.C. at the University of Cincinnati CO-OP System. In 1958, his brother Hugh O'Brian asked Don to join him in establishing a program through which young people could meet and interact with successful leaders. Together, the Krampe brothers traveled to Santa Catalina Island with their very first group of high school sophomores to meet and learn some valuable leadership skills from well-known film director Cecil B. DeMille, thus creating the Hugh O'Brian Youth leadership program. Today, this program serves over 9,000 high school students from 50 states and 29 countries - some of whom are young Marines. Don went on to receive a BA from the University of Pacific in 1961 where he was also certified as the Director for Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA). In 1965, Donald Krampe was sent to South Vietnam by the National YMCA. He went on to serve as USO Director coordinating USO shows and establishing USO Clubs. From 1968 to 1970, he served as a Director to the Hollywood YMCA. From 1970 to 1979, he was an assistant to VA Regional Director in Los Angeles. During that time, he received MBA in Public Administration from California Lutheran University. From 1979 to 1989, he served as Area Director for the Department of Treasury Savings Bonds Division in San Francisco. He traveled extensively visiting Fortune 500 companies' CEOs.
