| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | DECEMBER 2021 | 3 General Manager's Message By Rick Ruth, CMCA Dear Four Seasons Residents, The holiday season is upon us! Each year, we look forward to December for many reasons. The decorating committee has plans to beautifully decorate the lobby, hallways, library, Multipurpose Room and the Arts & Crafts Room. As of this writing, it's not confirmed if we will, as in years past, set up several trees in The Lodge lobby with gift tags for the Salvation Army. If the Salvation Army does provide tags, we encourage residents to pick up a gift tag. Another annual tradition is the "Holiday Home Tour." All proceeds go to a deserving charity. So many families have benefited from the generosity of Four Seasons residents and we thank you for that! As in years past, the Board has approved funding to decorate the outside of The Lodge, Gazebo and our Main and World Cup entrances with lighting and colorful decorations. I encourage residents to come and see the beautifully decorated Lodge and its surroundings. We are blessed with many giving, generous people who dedicate a lot of their time to this endeavor. Management staff has been made aware that the Governor recently declared a drought emergency. We are working with our landscape vendor to take appropriate action to reduce the runoff in the common areas. Speaking of that, we still see many yards that have excess irrigation runoff. This has been an ongoing issue for a long time. The excess water draining off of the front yards and out of the landscape drains has damaged the asphalt streets in several areas. This is very costly to re-surface and/ or repair. When polled, many residents either didn't know where the controller was or how to operate it. If that is you, we strongly suggest you contact a lawn professional or a neighbor to help you make the necessary adjustments to your irrigation timer. If neither of these options works for you, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you in finding a cost-effective solution. As this year draws to a close, I want to thank you for your continued support in allowing me to serve your community for the past 14 years. I would also like to acknowledge our Management Staff members who, without their collective efforts, would make managing your community very difficult, if not impossible. Those individuals who make this happen are: • Mari Salazar, Assistant General Manager • Tracie Rodgers, Activities Director • Maria Donti, ARC/Administrative Assistant • Tim Gross, Facility Maintenance Coordinator • Our Lodge Attendants Julie Shutt, Tracie Long, Diana Cayente and our newest member, Luis Gallegos. We are very fortunate to have a management staff that is passionate about providing the best customer service we can to each and every one of you. Our staff makes every effort to be good stewards of your money and they do their best to adapt and overcome the daily challenges that come with managing an active adult community! We also gratefully acknowledge our Board of Directors; Jim Crase, Greg Rockvam, Tony Criscenti, Cliff Post, Roxy Snider, Barbra Balser and Fred Kydd, who give many hours of "service" to this community, and most importantly give us their full support and encouragement. May you and your loved ones enjoy the blessings of this holiday season!
