Oh my goodness! We have been having so much fun around here and I don't think we are slowing down. The Motors and Margaritas event was a great success. Cool cars, cooler margaritas and fantastic volunteers. A special thank you to all those who helped bring it together and for all the donations. The Motors and Margaritas committee is planning on another one for spring of 2022. Thank you, Earl Young, Scott Budreau and Margie Culton. The Fine Arts and Crafts Show was a huge success! The parking lot was full and the shoppers were busy buying all the wonderful items for sale. Thank you, Alison Wieman and Royce Jermain. Blues and BBQ was another new event and turned out fantastic! A crisp fall evening on the plaza with amazing talent, smoked meats and a ton of residents having a great time. Thank you to the Social Committee and Donny Brown for such a great event. I saw many new volunteers coming out for set-up. Thank you for your time and muscle. The EPC even had an informational and enjoyable event last month. Lucky for us, EPC knows the way to get us the information is to feed us! Fast, free and a delicious lunch. I am so excited to announce that Santa is coming! We have a full day planned on Dec. 11. This is the day to invite your families. You take your picture with Santa from 2 to 4 pm (bring your cell phones). The Golf Cart Parade will be at 5:30 pm and the Vintage Voices Concert at 7 pm, where the winners of the outdoor lighting contest will be announced. FINALLY, we get to celebrate together. On Dec. 18, the Social Committee and volunteers' homes will let us tour their holiday decorated homes - what a treat! You can get your Holiday Home Tour bracelet from the front desk for $10 donation. Please make checks payable to the Salvation Army. December is definitely the month when the residents of Four Seasons share their generosity with the valley. Food donations to the Pantry, toys for the Salvation Army, goods and gift cards for the Veterans even blankets and food for the animals at the shelter. The kindness this community shows to all they reach with these donations is so very touching. If you want to help, we have a collection for it at The Lodge. As you enjoy one last hurrah in The Lodge for New Year's Eve "A Night of the Flamingo," my wish for all of us is to love one another. Go gently into this new year as each day is precious. Smell the flowers, sing the songs and dance the dances! 4 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | DECEMBER 2021 | From Your Activities Director By Tracie Rodgers CORRECTION: The "Oldlympics Results" article on P. 5 in last month's Hemet Herald omitted Mitch Lane's silver medal in Men's singles Table Tennis and bronze medal in doubles Table Tennis. Great job Mitch!
