Four Seasons Players Behind-the-scenes with Kristine Chilcote, Four Seasons Players Stage Manager… Act Two Four Seasons Players is excited to bring you a continuing "behind-the-scenes" journey through the eyes of one of our treasured members, Kristine Chilcote. Welcome to ACT TWO of Kristine's ongoing journey as our beloved Stage Manager: My big behind the scenes break: turning a light switch ON-and-OFF for a few scene changes! Actually, there were two different instances which required my light-switch services: 1. A flashback scene of a "tiff " between a husband and wife. 2. A serviceman reading a letter from his sweetheart back home. I was beyond excited and nervous. Here I am, gripping a script in my hand PLUS all the activity from our actors entering and exiting the stage, PLUS the costume changes, PLUS our amazing audience… gosh, it was EXHILARATING! My eyes were GLUED to the script to ensure my light switching was performed just as rehearsed. I executed my duty PERFECTLY and was very relieved. This small step helped me realize how much I enjoyed the behind-the-scenes life and I wanted to do EVEN MORE. I did venture onto the front of the stage in some very minor roles but that is a story for another day… Cut-scene-applause! To be continued next month!
