30 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | DECEMBER 2021 | As I am writing this article, they are still working on the Shuffleboard courts. If there is no work going on you can still play on your own. Just go to The Lodge and the attendant will explain the checkout procedure. Reminder, "Don't walk on the courts" they become very slippery with the cornmeal mixture. The Monday/Friday group has been able to play while the construction is going on. They have gone to their cooler weather schedule and now start at 9 am. They welcome all players to join them, new or seasoned. I have joined them a few times and have really enjoyed it. No pressure, just fun. Would be nice to see more out there. May the upcoming holidays bring peace and happiness to your families and friends. If you have any questions, please call Toni Harris at (951) 325-8357. Shuffleboard We have a few people interested in playing horseshoes. There is a horseshoe league that plays on Wednesday mornings at 8 am at different locations around Hemet. We practice on Saturday mornings at 8 am. Horseshoes Billiards Corn hole Hopefully by the time you are reading this article, the construction on the courts will be finished. It looks promising that we will have a 2022 season the first part of the year. In the past, we started the end of March. We still don't have a chairman for Bocce ball. Please take the time and consider stepping up. You can still play on your own, just inquire at The Lodge and they will explain the procedure. The team is preparing for the Hemet Valley League play that begins in October. If you have any questions, please call Ron Cordero at (909) 519- 9095 or Art Martel at (909) 973-8208. Pickleball Come join the fun! We play on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays from 7:30 am to noon. We invite anyone that would like to learn how to play Pickleball to come on down the fourth Saturday of the month at 8 am for lessons. We know you will have as much fun as we do.
