COMMITTEE NEWS | LIFE IN SOLERA | DECEMBER 2021 | 9 December is going to be a busy moth for most of us living in Solera OVG. Last December we were enduring COVID-19, and many of us were unable to visit with family and friends during the holidays. This year, thankfully, most of us will be enjoying the company of our families and friends. Listed below are a few reminders to help make our guest's visits more enjoyable: • Give your guests the address to the Main Gate for their GPS. This will assist them in arriving at the correct gate. 1550 Fairway Drive, Beaumont CA. 92223 • If your guest does not have a current PASS, please ask them to have their identification ready when they arrive at the gate. This will assist in moving the line to access our community move more quickly. • When your guest stays overnight, ask them to park in your driveway. There is no overnight parking on the street. • Remind everyone to please follow the speed limits and stop at the stop signs. There will be many guests during the holidays, and we want to keep everyone safe, while walking and driving. We have had a wonderful year. We held four Social Gatherings, August through September. Not only do the new residents get to meet with representatives from each club and group, enjoy light refreshments, and listen to a presentation "Living in a HOA," which provides information about the Board, the management, and the residents' responsibilities. We discuss the hierarchy of laws, regulations, and community rules which the Board must follow. We talk about the CC&Rs, Design Guidelines, and By-Laws. It is informal and informative with questions and answers throughout the presentation. Our next Social Gathering is April 27, 2022, at 6 pm. Everyone is invited, whether you requested a Welcome book or not, whether you just moved in or have lived here for years. Thank you to all our Clubs and Groups who send representatives to our events. We appreciate your time to meet our new residents and answer questions for them. Thank you for your time and continued support. I would personally like to thank each of the Ambassadors for the amazing work they do to welcome our new residents each month, from presenting the Welcome book to participating in each Social Gathering. You are truly stars of our community. ~ Marcia Casem, Chairperson, New Resident Welcome Advisory Committee Welcome Committee Whenever you plan to do anything on the exterior, that includes the back yard as well as the front of your home - you need a permit obtained from the office. Description of work on the exterior could include painting the entire home, re-landscaping the yard, planting or removing trees, adding solar, installing a flagpole, changing outside lighting, adding a patio cover, adding cement, just to name a few. There are specific guidelines to all alterations. As you consider changes, review the Design Review Guidelines, found on line or in your HOA handbook you received when you purchased your home. When in doubt about work on the exterior of your home, contact the office. Design Review Committee
