As the holidays approach, we all should be thankful that we live in such a great community and have finally surmounted the journey through one of the worst pandemics ever! Since August, we have been able to successfully conduct two trips! It is great to be "on the road, again!" We already have more trips lined up for 2021 and into 2022, which are highlighted below. Our Holiday Lights Tour will be on Thurs., Dec. 16. We will have dinner at Applebee's Claremont/Kearney Mesa and then travel through four neighborhoods in the San Diego area that are known for their outstanding holiday lights displays! The price is $85 for members. Our Rose Bowl Parade trip is full, but there is a wait list. We have found that most members on a wait list have been able to go on previous trips. To be put on our wait list, email Lynn Opelka @ sislynn6510@gmail.com. Please save the date: Thurs., Feb. 24, 2022, for our "Ramble Through Fallbrook." We will tour REINS (Riding Emphasizing Individual Needs and Strengths), a non-profit Horsemanship Program where people with disabilities learn how to ride horses and have fun doing it. Lunch is in downtown Fallbrook, followed by a visit to the Fallbrook Art Center. The price and flyer will be available by the end of the year. We are working on going again to the Pageant of the Masters on Tues., Aug. 2, 2022. The price is $153. Your payment will be non-refundable. When we have 24 paid members, we will order the best seats available at that time, so please submit your checks as soon as possible. For questions, please call Judy Harris (760) 724-0227. Add $5 to the price for non-members. In addition, please attach a copy of your COVID vaccination card, only if you have not already submitted it.
