4 | OHCC LIVING | DECEMBER 2021 | • Approved a contract with Black Diamond Services to replace a Clubhouse roof access staircase at a cost not to exceed $8,160. The Board met in its Regular Monthly Session on Oct. 21 and took the following actions: • Swore in and officially welcomed new Director Mariann Michaels • Approved the Minutes of the meetings on Sept. 3 and 17. • Accepted the August and September 2021 Financials. • Approved fund transfers in excess of $10,000. • Approved an application for a corporate Costco membership and credit card. • Accepted the minutes of the recent golf course construction team meetings. • Approved a contract to remove golf course trees to accommodate the lake construction at a cost not to exceed $10,605. • Approved a change order in the construction management agreement with VDLA to authorize up to an additional $75,000 of services. • Created a Technical Oversight Committee to assist the General Manager with the golf course and well projects. • Appointed an ad hoc committee to work with staff on drafting rules related to garage modifications. • Approved the removal of three flagpoles at a cost of $600 based on the recommendation of the Community Image and Marketing Committee. • Reconstituted the Architectural Review Committee. • Authorized the Recreation Director to proceed with the planning of a New Year's Eve party. • Authorized the Recreation Director to change the hours of operation at the Dog Park as needed to accommodate community members. • Approved conceptual design plans to enclose and beautify the booster pump installation at a cost not to exceed $10,000. • Approved conceptual design plans to create a butterfly sanctuary at a cost not to exceed $10,000. • Approved a contract with O'Connell Landscape Maintenance to conduct the annual fuel abatement clearance at a cost not to exceed $35,700. • Approved a contract with O'Connell Landscape Maintenance to trim 28 trees at a cost not to exceed $6,633. • Approved the removal of two pine trees in the common area behind 4984, 4986 and 4988 Lamia Way and the planting of replacement trees at the request of the adjacent homeowners with the entire cost to be shared among those homeowners. • Expressed assurance that the Lanai area will be available for use with some form of canopy for the period May 15 to Oct. 15, 2022.
