Swim & Wellness Club: The OHCC Swim, Surf and Wellness Club is offering FREE Swim Lessons. Are you a beginner who would like to learn to swim? Maybe you'd like to learn proper breathing techniques or just want to perfect your stroke. We can help! Blood Pressure Clinics: The Swim, Surf and Wellness Club provides a FREE blood pressure clinic on the last Friday of each month. Look for us on the Palm Court from 2 to 3 pm. Village Music Group: The Villagers music group will be performing in Abravanel Hall the third Friday of every month (during cold months) at 6 pm. This event is open to all residents at no charge. Boomer Connection: With Daylight Savings Time ending in November, it is getting too dark too cold too early for our outdoor get-togethers. We will not be meeting December through March. Look for us again in April after the clocks spring forward again. Parkinson's Support: Join the Parkinson's Support Group for information, discussion, and "Feel Good Sessions." Easy Yoga: Easy Yoga is being offered by resident, Jody McDonough via video. Come and join her class to rejuvenate your spirit, mind and body. Bring an exercise mat, small pillow and towel. The class is held every Tuesday from 10 to 11 am. This class emphasizes stretching, breathing, with some meditation. Results will bring your body in alignment and to a peaceful state. Stained Glass: Stained Glass class is being offered on Tuesdays from 1 to 3 pm and Thursdays from 10 am to 12:30 pm. Stretch and Balance: Stretch and Balance is a video led class held on Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:45 to 9:45 am. This class helps develop strength, stability, and balance. This class is FREE. Tai Chi: Tai-Chi class is held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 to 10 am. Join us to improve balance, increase strength and reduce stress. This is a video led class and is FREE. Hoist and Cardio Equipment: The OHCC Recreation Department sponsors, Cheryl Schindler, an ACE certified personal trainer. Cheryl will be available to provide information regarding the use of the Hoist and Cardio Equipment. This is a free service. Cheryl will be here the fourtth Saturday of each month from 2 to 4 pm. Cheryl can also be contacted for individual consultations; this can be arranged with Cheryl directly. Please be sure to a waiver at the front desk if this is your first visit to the fitness center. OHCC Widows: Ladies: Are you healing from the loss of a loved one? Please join our membership and receive the love and friendship we can provide to you! Birdwatchers Group: Join the Birdwatchers Group for our first monthly bird walk on Thurs., Jan. 13 to Guajome Park to see a variety of winter waterfowl.
