FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JANUARY 2022 61 Our last in-house tournament for 2021 was Nov. 30 and was it a contest of skill and grit! First of all, the two frequent winners in our group were paired as partners. Yep, that's so not gonna happen! Therefore, after doing some partner switching, etc., the individual skills took over anyway, and the outcome was pretty predictable. Bob Rector and Bob Semler (aka "the Bobs") was the first place winning partnership. Carlos Rivera, however, drew the #13 pea that day, and [sniff!] had to play this challenge all alone. Yep, you got it. He came in second because he got to take all the shots for his team (himself ), and talk about amazing skill! However, after two out of three playoff games and the echo of a resounding "Dilly Dilly!" by Bob Rector, he and the other Bob were declared winners and Carlos came in second place. (See our hotshots below.) Congratulations, guys! We will be starting a new year on Jan. 4 at either the 11 am to 1 pm session or the 1 to 3 pm session. C'mon out and join this fun group of hilarious and really talented players! We'll look for you, okay? ~ Eileen Antoine, (951) 922-6829, egcellent@msn.com Billiards for Fun Curly Cues Billiards Wild Bunch Billiards Wow! It is hard to believe we are already in 2022. I can still recall the chaos at the office when we were leaving behind the '90s and stepping into the dreaded Y2K. It was so nice to be back in The Lodge this last year and have everything back to normal, more or less. The Curly Cues are still going strong, we shoot, we miss, we make great shots and some not so great. Last week while aiming for the number one ball Lois LeMottee managed to get the eight ball, one ball and cue ball in same pocket on one shot. Too bad it meant she lost, still, it was a great shot! As I said, we always have fun! Come join us ladies Monday mornings in The Lodge Billiards Room. If you're at Kopper Kettle then you will most likely hear us, we tend to have animated conversations. Play time is from10 am until noon. Sorry guys, it's ladies only! For more information, contact Pat Semler at (714) 325-5280 or Leta Ramirez at (626) 695-0798. ~ Oleta Ramirez 2022 has arrived and we are completely open and excited that we are "live" in the Billiards Room. The "Wild Bunch" consists of some of the best players in the league: Joe Spinella, Bob Rector, Mike Corbett, Carlos Rivera, LeRoy Wright, Rick Steckler, Scott Frymire, Dave Martin, Verina Rector, and Gracy Luna. If you want to play serious, competitive pool, we invite you to come by the Billiards Room Friday afternoons from 12:30 to 3:30 and join in the stimulation of competitive play. We invite Sun Lakes and Solera to join us, and they bring their best game for some exciting competition. Looking forward to seeing you! ~ Gracy Luna, gracyluna@aol. com, (951) 292-3524 Bob Semler and Bob Rector Carlos Rivera Joy Collins waiting for her next victim Lois LeMottee demonstrating her trick shot
