Actors Studio Happy New Year to you all! I hope your holiday was special now that families and friends are able to get together. WELL, IT'S OFFICIAL! We now have confirmed dates for our evening of comedy skits. They are Saturday, April 23, and Sunday, April 24, at 7 pm. It's been a long time coming, and we are very excited to be able to present our production to The Colony. We will keep you informed as to when tickets will be available in the coming months. But for now, please mark the dates on your calendars! We are always looking for anyone interested in our group, whether in acting or assisting in the many details of presenting a production. So come to one of our workshops and see what we're all about – you never know what talent you may have that would be helpful in our group. We meet on the second and fourth Thursdays at 3 pm in the Annex, with the first one this month on Thursday, Jan. 13. We hope you will consider attending our workshops and becoming a part of our family of Theater Lovers. By Marsha Tobolski, 562-244-9223 The Colony Strummers (formerly the Ukelele Club) wish everyone a very Happy New Year! It is a great time to begin a new hobby or pursue a new interest. Please come and join us as we play, sing and laugh in the Annex every Friday at 1 pm. We welcome and teach people new to strumming, and you do not have to know how to read music. Some of us have ukuleles, and some of us also have banjoleles, a banjo that plays like a ukulele. Occasionally, our leader also brings his accordion! So come on down!
