Four Seasons Players
Alongside my beginnings backstage…
I had some great fun as a performer for
Four Seasons Players. My on-stage debut
was as Cheerleader in Four Seasons Person
of the Year - written by our very own Rudy
Rich. Reflecting on my early years as an
uncoordinated kid, being a cheerleader was
but a distant and unfulfilled dream. How
incredible that, at age 60, I realized that
dream right here at Four Seasons, thanks to
our community theater! And taking that one
step further, my husband Gary also joined
in the fun - perfectly cast as a Heckler in our
audience!
I was also cast as Announcer in the Chili
Cook-off, with unforgettable lines such as
"Chili #8 - Big Tom's Toenail Curling Chili."
This was a true Readers Theater presentation
– our cast of four all dressed in black - seated
behind music stands with scripts in-hand.
No scene changes, just pure theater. Our
Director, Ginny, was also a very gracious
Coach to me AND my husband Gary (yes, I
volunteered him once again). It was great fun
and enjoyed by all.
Great memories. And now… on to my
humble beginnings as Stagehand… unveiled
next!
