Young at Heart Young at Heart Club members enjoyed a fabulous New Year's Eve celebration dancing to Retroblast band performing their "Tribute to Classic Rock." Next up is an NFL Playoff viewing party and Chili Cook-off on Jan. 30. Then, in February, we'll have a fun Rio Carnivale night. Other 2022 events will include a comedy show featuring professional comedian Jason Love and others, a block party, and a fun golf tournament. Next fall, we'll see the return of "Dueling Pianos" which will be open to all Sun Lakes residents. Complete details for each event are emailed to all members as plans are finalized. Because of the increase cost of food, we will be charging $20 for dinner, dues will stay the same. We are subsidizing (this month only) the difference of your usual dinner charge of $20 as these entreés are an additional cost to the club. No guests will be invited to the January dinner but starting at the February dinner, guests will be welcome. Pay your dues before Jan. 14 so you can attend the dinner meeting. Make checks payable for next month's dinner reservations to Social Singles and drop them off at Betty McMillion's home, 5549 W. Pinehurst Dr., (951) 769-6636, or put your check and reservation in the basket on the back table. Membership dues and applications should be made out to Social Singles and dropped off at Maggie Kline's home, 650 Brooklawn Dr. (Northside). You may also put your membership check in the basket on the back table. Those that want to sit together should put their checks in one envelope. Reservations and cancellations must be in the Friday before the dinner. EVENTS Tues., Jan. 3: Movie, Respect. The life of Aretha Franklin, starring Jennifer Hudson. This movie enjoys much critical acclaim. Snacks provided. All Sun Lakers are welcome… no reservation necessary. Sat., Jan. 15: Activities Day. 1 to 4 pm.
