Sun Lakes residents and guests will be entertained at their speakeasy tables by our local residents as they sing and dance their way into your hearts. Tickets and seats will be available in the Main Clubhouse starting the second week in February for performances on Feb. 24-27. Tickets are $15 per person and children 12 and under are $10. INTRODUCING "THE POTLUCK PLAYERS" Become a member of our Potluck Players group by signing up for our continuing acting classes taught by Mary Flynn. This class is three classes in one. It is designed for all levels of experience from beginning actors, advanced actors and potential directors. Advanced Actors and Directing students will be preparing scenes and monologues for presentation at our quarterly meet-ups. Beginning actors will participate in theater games, improvisations, and story dramatizations. NEW MEMBERS AND VOLUNTEERS WELCOME Lots of Shows = Lots of Opportunities Become a Playhouse member and help us bring family entertainment to our community. Volunteers are the backbone of our success. If you can help with scenery, costumes, make-up, lights and sound, etc., we need your talented helping hands and ideas. Dues for 2022 are $10 pp or $15 per couple. Members are invited to our monthly meetings on the first Tuesday of each month at 1 pm and quarterly dinners. Join this merry group of thespians for field trips to theater productions near and far. Shows are open seating and all Sun Lakes residents are welcome. On Feb. 13, the Club presents "Motown to Soul," starring Donny Ray Evins, who graced our stage a few years ago with his unforgettable renditions of the songs of Nat King Cole. For this concert, Evins will combine the Motown sound with Soul music. The international award winning singer Donny Ray Evins seduces audiences around the world. His soulful singing style, engaging stage presence, and warm deep voice embraces the audience with heartfelt ballads and thrills them with sizzling upbeat Soul and R&B classics. His career highlights include two time Las Vegas Variety Entertainer of the Year, headline artist for Legends in Concert Las Vegas and the Legends Broadway Tour, Master of Ceremony and bass singer for Bucks Rams recording group The Platters, performances at Merv Griffin's international resorts, multiple international television appearances, performances with Auckland, New Zealand's Philharmonic Orchestra and headline artist at casinos, night clubs, international charities, corporate events and five star cruise lines.
