Sheet music and learning materials are furnished to help even the novice enjoy the experience. You can sing in this men's chorus or enjoy a quartet experience with three other guys. Makua Hula Hawaiian Dancers In preparation for their upcoming show, "More Aloha from the Islands," on Sun., May 22, Perla Williams and the ladies of Makua Hula held a workshop last month at the North Clubhouse. The Kumu (Master Teacher in the art of Hula), Carla Culbertson, from Palm Springs was able to show the ladies new dance techniques and incorporate a new dance number in their show. It was fun and a unique learning opportunity. A luncheon and more fun followed. Mark your calendars… Perla and the Makua Hula Hawaiian Dancers are invited to perform at "That's Entertainment's" first show for 2022. The four-day show dates will be Thurs., Feb. 24, Fri., Feb. 25, Sat., Feb. 26, and Sun., Feb. 27, a matinee. It will be an energetic and memorable event. Mark your calendar and don't miss it! ICC The feeling of love will be in the air when ICC celebrates Valentine's Day on Thurs., Feb. 10 in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. Doors will open at 5:30 pm and American Made will provide the music for the evening. Board member Ann Hoefert has taken on the task of planning the monthly menu which will include a vegetarian meal in addition to the other meal selections offered each month. The February dinner will be prepared by the Sun Lakes Restaurant and will be a buffet. More information on the meal will be available at the time of sign-up scheduled for Thurs., Feb. 3 at the South Clubhouse beginning at 3 pm. The member price for the meal is $25 per person. Sun Lakes residents may attend as a guest ($28 for the meal) one time per year and then must join the club. Members may bring an outside guest for $28. If you miss the sign-ups and want to attend the dinner and dance, contact Donna Leone at (951) 797-0832 no later than the following Sunday afternoon. If you cannot attend the dance after signing up,, you can request a take-out meal box by contacting Ann Hoefert at (909) 553-3292. You can pick up your meal after 7 pm on the night of the dance. By Board action, refunds from the March 2020 event that was canceled due to COVID, have expired. New members are always welcome and membership is $25 per person per calendar year.
