Quilting Enthusiasts Winter is almost over and spring is around the corner. We had a great meeting on Jan. 6 and the mix-up on meeting rooms is straightened out. From now on we will meet in The Lodge Craft Room #2 on the first Thursday of each month at 1 pm. We have a tentative schedule for "Sit-n-Sew" as the third Thursday of each month from 9 am to 4 pm, starting Feb. 17. Bring your sewing machine and a project or two to work on. We are continuing to make quilts for the police and fire departments. As you know, we gave 22 quilts of various sizes to the police department. The police department gave half of the quilts to the fire department. Our group is planning to continue this service and branch out into other areas with lap quilts, quilts for various senior care homes, children in need, and children who are being placed into foster care. We feel very fortunate to be able to donate our time to these causes. We greatly appreciate Jeri Sorensen and her friend Rose Werth, who has contacts with Robert Kaufman Fabrics, for getting the awesome fabrics to make our donation quilts. This fabric is 100 percent high-quality quilting fabric and we have created some fabulous quilts, as shown in the pictures. All sewers and non-sewers are invited to our meetings. The next meeting is Feb. 3 at 1 pm. If you have questions, feel free to email 4seasonsquilters@gmail.com and someone will get back to you. For more info, contact Mary M. Moody-Cox at (808) 430-7469 or email 4seasonsquilters@gmail.com. ~ Mary M.
