FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | FEBRUARY 2022 65 Hello 2022, goodbye 2021. As we enter 2022, it's nice knowing that our Four Seasons Motorcycle Club (MC) President Terry Humble is staying at the helm. In fact, all officers will carry on with no changes. Jim Ayala will continue as the club VP, Joe Bert is still our club Secretary, and Scott Snyder will carry on as our Safety Officer. As the saying goes, why mess with a good thing? Terry, in particular, deserves special recognition. He is the spark that makes being a member of the MC so much fun. Thank you Terry for your leadership, pride and enthusiasm. 2022 will be another great year in the saddle! Looking back, 2021 was yet another memorable year. In addition to our weekly Thursday rides, we set out on some wonderful multi-day rides. In March we went on a three day ride to Kernville. Terry spent a lot of his early years in that area and knows the area well, so he treated us to some beautiful back roads. In June we went on a three-day ride to Ojai and Solvang which turned out to be three glorious days. Our final multi-day ride for 2021 was an overnighter to Jacumba which has become an annual ride for the club. We also participated in a couple of local events. The MC was the lead group in the Four Seasons Fourth of July parade, and in September we took great pride in being the lead group heading out to Hillside Cemetery in Redlands to participate in the National POW/MIA Recognition Day ceremony. Yes, 2021 turned out to be a pretty good year for the MC. 2022 is shaping up to be a lot of fun! In May we will be heading out on a five day ride to the Grand Canyon. Club President Terry already has the route and itinerary for this trip all planned out. Seven riders are signed up for this ride and May can't get here soon enough. In the works is an Arizona White Mountain run for later in the year, probably around September. This will likely be about a four- day trip. President Terry is already at work, laying out the best scenic route for this ride. Maybe we'll be able to squeeze in an overnighter or two. If you ride and think you might be interested in joining the club, there is no better way to learn about the club than by joining us on our weekly Thursday rides. Weather permitting, we meet up in The Lodge parking lot and we are on the road promptly at 9 am. The length of these rides varies from 100 to 200 miles, depending on our destination. We have lots to choose from, such as heading out to the desert, up to the mountains, or to the coast. It never gets old. These rides always include a break for lunch and we are generally back home no later than mid- afternoon. So, if you think riding with fellow motorcycle enthusiasts and getting in on the camaraderie might appeal to you, join us. Give us a call. You can call Terry Humble at (909) 706- 2298, Jim Ayala at (951) 392-6259, or Joe Bert (909) 767-1484. ~ Jim Ayala Motorcycle Club Terry Humble on his beautiful and always shiny Harley Davidson Electra Glide.
