Gather 'round, children, and you shall all hear
How 2021 was a mixed Covid year.
It all started out with six months' isolation
Until we received our two-dose vaccination.
Up until then there were walks and air hugs,
But after those shots we were feeling quite smug.
Summer was "normal" -- we beat this, you see!
But alas! It simply was not meant to be.
First Delta, then Omi appeared on the stage
And shot number 3 soon became all the rage.
I'm hoping by now we'll have no more Greek letters
Here's wishing that this year will simply be better!
