| OHCC LIVING | FEBRUARY 2022 | 25 Papercrafting Club Happy February from the Papercrafting Club to all our readers! This issue takes us into the second month of wearing masks at the Clubhouse and our members have decided to revert back to Zoom meetings until the latest virus surge abates. We wish to thank our two Social Committee leaders (see photo of Sunny Frowein and Beth Brewer above) and their event volunteers for the wonderful job they did on both the Annual Luncheon in December and Do Dues Day! We had Do Dues Day on Jan. 8 and we are welcoming our newest members to our club this month. At the time of this writing, I do not have everyone's names, so we'll highlight our newbies in March. However, we are thrilled to have our new Group 5 starting up again and we know they'll love their new mentors, Rhonda Anchales and Tanya Beyers, the new Group 5 Leader and Assistant Leader. Over the next few months Group 5 will learn many new cardmaking techniques and begin to assemble much of their own inventory. As is our tradition, those senior members of the club who would like to help our new members, may donate extra supplies to the group and/or contact Rhonda and Tanya to offer to teach a class. We'll also keep them posted on when there's a sale on papercrafting supplies at Hobby Lobby, Michael's, and Tuesday Morning! As always, we wish our sincerest Happy Birthday Greetings to our members celebrating February Birthdays. Rhonda Anchales, and Irma Ojeda. In closing, let me wish you all the best as we celebrate our National holiday during the month of February. Presidents Day is a great way to celebrate our country's past and present leaders as well as a lovely three-day weekend. Don't forget, Valentine's Day is approaching on Feb. 14 as our papercrafting group focuses on making some very special cards for some very special someones. Other holidays and special days coming up this month are Ground Hog Day 2/2; It's also Black History Month and National Heart/Cardiac Awareness Month. The Winter Olympics begins on 2/4 and for us cardmakers, 2/7 is one of our favorites: Send a card to a friend day!
