18 18 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | MARCH 2022 | | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | MARCH 2022 | As announced last month, our spectacular Musical is postponed (likely for October 2022). But don't despair! We also hope to offer a performance in June, so stay tuned for details on both. Minor setbacks in performance dates have not deterred our Four Seasons Players Club from enjoying togetherness! Think our performances are entertaining? Well… you should see our monthly meetings! We are proud to announce that we are adding new members every month, offering an ever-evolving, rich background of experience (including NO EXPERIENCE), interests and personalities. Oh boy… the personalities! It is Community Theater, after all. Which means sharing, learning, and just having fun. In that spirit… this month we are paying special tribute (and sending a bittersweet adieu) to our beloved member, Chrissy Pounders. Chrissy graciously served as President of the theater group until just recently for 13 years, and her contributions to the Club and to our community are too numerous to mention. I have had the honor of knowing Chrissy since my joining the Club, and she may not know this, but she is one of those performers who actually inspired me to join the theater club – just watching her on stage. She didn't know me from Adam. I just enjoyed watching her on stage. Her energy, her humor, her total presence, her everything… inspired me to want to be up there, too. Even if I could just be backstage! She is The IT Girl, in my book and yet she doesn't even know it (totally part of her charm). As I am now our humble new President (with NO EXPERIENCE) - I won't even try to fill her shoes, but it will be oh-so- fun trying. I know from other Club members that she leaves a legacy of inspiration that we will continue to build on. Chrissy will be moving on soon to the next phase in her life's journey, and we wish her all the good things in life she so deserves. She is a Four Seasons icon, and a beautiful one at that. The Four Seasons Players send our love and adoration to Chrissy and we hope to see her in the audience in June! From Chrissy - "I'm not an original member, but participated with the theater group about 13 years. I chaired almost the entire time till this past year. I enjoyed participating in such productions as The Wizard of Oz, The Cemetery Club, playing Lucille Ball and so much more over the years. I directed one play which was a huge challenge and very rewarding, and even lip synced to several songs including, Crazy by Patsy Cline. As of March 14, I will be moving from Four Seasons. I regret I will not be able to perform a great role as Maria in excerpts from West Side Story, but must move on to new adventures! I have met some wonderful, talented people in the Four Seasons Theater, and will always cherish those memories. God bless you all, and thank you for your beautiful comments to me and our group over the years. I will never forget you! ~ Chrissy Pounders P.S. As our Musical performance drawers nearer, we will continue with Kristine Chilcote's behind-the-scenes Stage Manager drama (ACT 5), so stay tuned! Club meetings are held the third Friday of each month at 1 pm in the Ballroom. Your interest and inquiries are always welcome - please call Victoria Tarabochia at (951) 473-3235.
