| LIFE IN SOLERA | MARCH 2022 | 19 In the February issue of Life in Solera I announced that the January and February Solera Sippers events were postponed in order to give the Board and Steering Committee time in February to assess the situation relative the Omicron COVID variant and the impact on future events. I also mentioned that the March 19 Membership Party was still active, but subject to review as the virus situation unfolds. Due to the early requirement to submit articles for the March publication a firm decision had not yet been made about the Membership Party and future events. However, by the time you read this article a decision will have been made and announced to the members. Assuming a positive outcome, and the Membership Party is held on March 19, the two postponed events, "Wine Bingo" and the "Italian Evening" will be scheduled for April 16 and May 21 respectively. For more information about the Solera Sippers, events, and application please visit the Solera Sippers web page on the Solera website. You can access the web page by going to the "Recreation" heading and then under "Clubs and Groups". For questions about the Solera Sippers please contact Gary Stoh at (951) 845-1981 or via email at garymstoh@aol.com. SOLERA SIPPERS Louise Sesto (center) presented a check to Carol's Kitchen on behalf of the Bon Appetit Club from money raised at our 2021 fundraisers BON APPETIT CLUB Greetings from Bon Appetit! Our first meeting for 2022 is Fri., March 4. We have actively been signing up new and returning members for this year. As of this time we have 56 members. It is necessary for all members, new and returning, to provide proof of vaccination to take part in our events. Anyone wishing to join may sign up at our March meeting. At our meeting in March we will be celebrating St. Patty's Tater Day. Baked potatoes will be provided and members are requested to bring either a topping or dessert to share buffet style. We will have a small Irish quiz and a couple of Irish tunes from Marty. At our April meeting, we will have Ross Carter, Culinary Instructor at Beaumont High School. He will discuss the culinary program at Beaumont High. They are reaching out to the community for support to provide scholarships for students to further their culinary education.
