44 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MARCH 2022 Step It Up Line Dancing Welcome March! We have been so busy in our class lately that the time is flying by. We've learned quite a few new dances since I've been back from my knee replacement surgery and oh boy I am ready to dance… We made Valentine's Day cards during one of our classes and I loved watching people make cards for their loved ones. Then we had a small Valentine's Day party during class and filled the Ballroom with red, pink, and white decor while we hung out and danced. I'm exhausted. Also, Step It Up is sponsoring the Super Bowl again this year so I'll report in the next Breeze article on all the fun. It's great to see all of the new people coming to class. I am starting my new basic beginner three-month class on Monday, March 7 at 12:30 pm for the basic beginner class. Our beginner/intermediate class is at 1:30 to 2:30 pm. These are for the people who know the more advanced dances or those who catch on quicker. These classes are in the Ballroom on Mondays. I also have a Wednesday evening class at 6:30 pm for basic beginners in the Ballroom and will start a new three-month class beginning March 3. I hope you can join us for either of these classes and get to know our group of friends (family, as I like to call it). Look for our rescheduled end-of-the-year Barn Burner party coming up in April. It'll be $5 for dancers and $20 for those who aren't in my class. This includes a full course dinner with lots of dancing. Between Stephanie (at right) belting out some Aretha Franklin and Rich Wayne whipping everyone into a frenzy with some Uptown Funk, the room was on fire. It was a fun evening of music performed by your friends and neighbors. Linda Young also got up and sang for her first time so congratulations to her and thanks to everyone who attended. As a reminder, we have karaoke practice at 6 pm in the Ballroom on the first Tuesday of every month. If you are curious about karaoke or want to try a new song, just come out and we can practice before the actual karaoke night. You can also come out and practice your singing for the upcoming PAC Toast to the Tony's show. Karaoke is every third Saturday night through the remainder of 2022 so mark your calendars and come out and watch the free entertainment. It starts at 5:30 pm in the Ballroom. You do not have to sing, just come out to support those who do.
