FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MARCH 2022 5 By Kathy Craven, Board Vice President During a recent survey requested by the HOA, one of the things mentioned by our residents was more security at the gate. The Board of Directors continually looks for ways to enhance our gate entrance and utilize the most efficient means for the gate attendants to provide parking patrol. Early this year, we will have check points throughout the community that will scan where and at what time the patrol passed on their nightly or morning parking patrol. This will better enable us to determine exactly where the patrol was and how long it took them to complete it. Last year we instituted an ID verification at the front gate, where all visitors are required to show identification to enter the property. Once the ID is obtained by the gate attendant, it is verified against the resident's guest list, confirming the name of the resident the guest is visiting on the dwellingLIVE system. We also removed coded gate access at both the Crooked Creek and Breckenridge gates so all guests will flow through the Potrero gate. After-hours access for residents is still possible at the Potrero gate utilizing the specific code you were given when you moved in. There are a couple ways to add guests to either your permanent or temporary guest list. First, you can still call the phone number at the entry gate and ask the attendant to add the guest. This is not the best use of the attendant's time, but is still an option. Or, the best way to keep control of your guest list is by utilizing dwellingLIVE. What is dwellingLIVE? This is a system the HOA utilizes for residents to quickly and efficiently add information regarding their guests. It is a simple and painless application to use and is the same system the gate attendant utilizes to track who comes and goes through the gate. To download (at no charge) from an Apple device, go to the App Store or from an Android download from Google Play, and look for dwellingLIVE. Once downloaded, follow the prompts to add your information. Now that you are in, it's a good time to review and edit exactly who you have on your permanent list, even if you never entered anything into Dwelling Live in the past, the gate attendant may have entered it for you. You may have an old gardener, a caregiver or someone you do not particularly want to have access to the community. It is a good idea to do this once a year to keep it up-to-date. Now you are good to go with updating your guest lists. You have the ability to create a party list with all the guests listed for a particular event, you can add and delete permanent guests, or just add a guest for the day. One nice feature is a place where you can add the guests' cell number. Doing so will send a text to the guest with a QR Code. Your guest can then present the QR code to the gate attendant to scan. Utilizing all tools available will enable the gate attendants to do their job properly, and will create a smoother process for our guests. The Board of Directors meets the second Thursday of each month at 1 pm in the Ballroom. Civil code does not permit the Board to engage in conversation during a board meeting; if you would like to meet in an informal setting, please attend Meet the Board the third Wednesday of each month at 1 pm in the RCN. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me. ~ Kathy Craven, kcravenbod@yahoo.com, (714) 722-1301 Message From The Board
