Our February Cars & Coffee gathering was greeted with chilly and windy weather. However, that did not deter our hard-core car enthusiasts from meeting. John Wagner made his first appearance with his beautiful black 2003 convertible Thunderbird. John has owned his T-Bird for only two weeks and was surprised to see another identical 2003 Black T-Bird convertible owned by Paul Carracino. John and his wife Pam have lived in Four Seasons for two years. We hope to see John and his T-Bird at other Cars & Coffee gatherings in the future. Fortunately, Linda Berry showed up with her beautiful 2007 Atomic Orange Corvette and I was finally able to take a nice snapshot of Linda and her 'Vette. Please join us the first Saturday of the month at 9 am at The Lodge parking lot. Our next meeting will be Saturday, March 5. Hope to see you there. Until next month, everyone please stay safe. ~ Frank Morales FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MARCH 2022 43 Our Book Club selection for March 8 is The Lincoln Highway by Amor Towles. Here is a brief description from Amazon.com: "In June, 1954, 18-year-old Emmett Watson is driven home to Nebraska by the warden of the juvenile work farm where he has just served15 months for involuntary manslaughter. His mother long gone, his father recently deceased, and the family farm foreclosed upon by the bank, Emmett's intention is to pick up his eight-year-old brother, Billy, and head to California where they can start their lives anew. But when the warden drives away, Emmett discovers that two friends from the work farm have hidden themselves in the trunk of the warden's car. Together, they have hatched an altogether different plan for Emmett's future, one that will take them all on a fateful journey in the opposite direction — to New York City. Spanning just 10 days and told from multiple points of view, Towles's third novel will satisfy fans of his multi-layered literary styling while providing them an array of new and richly imagined settings, characters, and themes." Our meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 9:30 am in the RCN room #3, and someone volunteers to lead the discussion about the book we have chosen for the month.
