FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MARCH 2022 65
Well, so far the winter weather has been kind to the Four Seasons
Motorcycle Club (MC). One of our January Thursday rides took us to
Angelus Oaks for breakfast. Snow was on the slopes but road conditions
were excellent. Another January Thursday ride took us to Crestline for
breakfast/lunch. Our route was by way of Waterman Avenue in San
Bernardino. The route home was going down the back side to Yucca
Valley. This was a nearly 200-mile ride and, again, the roads were dry and
free of debris. Our perfect winter riding weather has also continued into
February. Our first Thursday ride was to Julian. It was a bit chilly but we
bundled up appropriately and enjoyed the day. This ride was nearly 200
miles round trip and we just kept reminding ourselves of our good fortune
to be in Julian on motorcycles in the middle of winter. Yes, we need the
rain but why sit at home worrying about it when you can worry about it on
a motorcycle? By the way, for lunch in Julian club prez Terry Humble took
us to a café called Miners Diner. Great food! Looking forward, we hope to
start getting lots of rain, just not on Thursdays.
As reported earlier, we are looking forward to our next multi-day ride
which is scheduled for May 9 through 13. We will be headed to the Grand
Canyon and it looks like we may have eight riders on this trip. Terry has
our route all planned out and we have our hotel reservations in place. We
are ready to go!
