30 | OHCC LIVING | MARCH 2022 | Happy St. Patrick's Month OHCC! Since your Travel Club Board remains hopeful that we will continue to get back to "normal" in 2022, we are making more plans for programs and trips. Our next Club Program will be held on Mon., March 14. Our guest speaker will be Chrissy Allen, Reservations & Customer Service Manager with DayTripper Tours. She will be sharing trips that are available through DayTripper. We are excited about our following scheduled trips: • March 24 - we are off to Newport Beach for a Sea Lion Harbor Cruise; lunch at the Harborside Restaurant; and a guided walking tour of the Sherman Gardens, which is located on over two acres in Corona Del Mar. • May 1 - we are going to see the Art Alive Exhibit at The San Diego Museum of Art. After touring the Exhibit, we are going to the Fleet Science Center for lunch, a tour of the Center's exhibits and IMAX movie; followed by a quick stop at Harper's Garden to see the wonderful topiaries on the return trip home. • June 9 – Save the Date for a trip that includes a visit to the Bowers Museum to enjoy "All That Glitters: The Crown Jewels of the Walt Disney Archives" exhibit. The Exhibit features crowns, tiaras, watches, rings, bracelets, and more that were designed by some of the biggest names in fashion. • Aug. 2 - we are going again to see the fabulous Pageant of the Masters, a 90-minute outdoor theatrical performance featuring famous works of art which are brought to life onstage. • Dec. 13 – Save the Date for a trip to Riverside to view over five million lights decorating the Mission Inn and its grounds, which has been a tradition since 1992. The Inn also features 200 animated figures, elaborately decorated Christmas trees, and horse-drawn carriage rides. More details are on the trip flyers, which are available in the Clubhouse.
