Young at Heart Hello Young at Heart members. It's nice to have some of the COVID restrictions lifted. We can now go back to having our fun events. Comedy Night: April 2, 6 pm seating, 6:30 pm show in the North Clubhouse. The cost is only $7.50 per person. Bring an appetizer to share with your table; BYOB and glasses. May 7: Siete de Mayo Golf Tournament Executive Course. 1:30 pm check in and 2 pm shotgun. The cost of $15 includes the golf tournament, prize money, and food. Non-golfers are $10. Non annuals will get twilight rate of $15 paid to pro shop at check in. There will be a margarita station and food catered by Tacos and Beer. You may pick you own foursome. Look for a flyer that will be sent to members. June is dark due to Charity Week. Here are a few of the events we are planning for the rest of the year. July – Bowling August – Duffy Boats September – NFL chili and salsa season kickoff October – Halloween Fright Delight November – Dueling Pianos We need people with creative ideas or hosts for an event. Join us on Fri., April 15 for a dinner meeting in the South Clubhouse. The meeting begins at 5:45 and doors open at 5:15 pm. No April Fools here; we're going to have our wonderful dinner and an evening filled with entertainment evening enjoyed with friends. Gourmet Your Way is serving a fantastic dinner. Tri- Tip with three sauces, oven baked Swai fish, garden salad, grilled veggies, long grain and wild rice, scalloped potatoes, and brownies for dessert! We are fortunate to have Ellen and Dix Henneke, the husband and wife duo, Elixir. They performed at That's Entertainment and knocked everyone's socks off! We know what a talented couple they are and that everyone will be enjoying their music. Dues remain at $15 per year. Due to the increased cost of food, we will be charging $20. Guests living outside of Sun Lakes or friends of a resident will be $24 per person. If you live in Sun Lakes you may come as a guest one time only, and then you will want to join the club. For next month's dinner reservations, make checks payable to Social Singles and drop them off at Betty McMillion's home, 5549 W. Pinehurst Dr., (951) 769-6636. Or at the meeting, you can put your check and reservation in the basket on the back table. Membership dues and applications should be made out to Social Singles and dropped off at Maggie Kline's home, 650 Brooklawn Dr. (North side). You may also put your membership check in the basket at the meeting. Those who want to sit together should put their checks in one envelope.
