We are knitters, crocheters, weavers, and cross stitchers. Beginners are welcome. On the second Monday of each month we do free yarn and supply exchange. Sun Lakes Quilters Sew What? Club Those of us who participated in last month's birdhouse project had so much fun putting individual personalities into our creations. We used different supplies and methods for our designs. Some were painted, some were decoupaged, others were constructed with napkin transfers. All were very adorable and unique. We are enjoying the addition of the once-a-month make 'n take projects. Those who prefer to work on the organization of their photos, or putting together their albums, can still join us and work right alongside us. We have been welcoming new crafters just about every month and it's so much fun to meet like-minded friends, as everyone can bring new ideas to our group. In March, we had a guest instructor who brought all supplies needed for a card making demonstration. Our weekly meeting days have changed slightly. We still meet in the Multipurpose room from 1 to 3 pm on the first Tuesday of each month. The second week of the month, we are dark. The third and fourth, and possibly a fifth week, we will be meeting on Mondays. We celebrate monthly birthdays with luncheons on Thursdays. An email goes out to members announcing these luncheon dates. To support our own restaurant, we dine right here in the Main Clubhouse. Please note that April's luncheon is on Thurs., April 14. Watch for the email invitation in your inbox. RSVPs need to be sent as reservations must be made. Paper Crafting (Formerly Scrapbooking) I hope that you all enjoyed the Craft Fair last month and were able to stop by and visit our group. If you have any interest in joining our group, stop by the first and third Tuesdays of each month from 12:30 to 2:30 pm in the Arts & Crafts Room. COVID really took a toll on all of us and since our group has started up again, many of our members have not returned and some have "retired" from the group for different reasons. All items we make are donated to local organizations such as the hospital, Childhelp and the Pregnancy Center in San Bernardino. With fewer sewers in our group we won't be able to give as much.
