Genealogy
Interest Group
The Genealogy Interest Group is a growing group of
individuals who want to find out about their heritage and their
ancestry. Curiosity about those who came before and formed
us is important.
Don Wirth, our coordinator for many years, passed away in
January. We will miss him and his contributions to the group.
The group provides tools to do your research and help in
getting started. For the experienced we can offer suggestions to
break through the brick walls of past generations. Meeting with
others looking in the same geographical areas is a great help.
We will meet on Thurs., April 14 in the Computer Room from
10 am to noon, with a short presentation and a help session
answering questions. We have both Apple computers and
PCs. There will be help session on Fri., April 22 at 10 am in the
Computer Room. All sessions can be seen on the TAG calendar.
We are happy to offer the World Explorer version of Ancestry.
com free of charge in the Computer Room which would cost
an individual about $100 a month. We also offer the Family
Tree Maker on several of the computers in the lab. A family
tree can be started and compiled either with both or one of
these programs, with many hints to assist in your research.

Due to the continuing COVID state of affairs, TAG members will not
be hosting classes and workshops in the Computer Room until further
notice.
TAG members will continue to provide help and advice on a variety
of tech devices as conditions allow. We are hesitant to go to individual
homes but are willing to do what we can in more open spaces.

website under the Contact tab.
If you have a little time to help a neighbor, please join us… it's free.

smartphone because it is a little different than their old one. Please join
