By Larry Workman with Elizabeth Westbrook How many times have you wished you could find something quickly on the Four Seasons Beaumont website? The site has a simple tool that does all of the searching for you and provides links to your inquiry. The search feature is based on the same framework as the well-known Google search engine. The location of the feature differs depending on whether you're using a computer, smartphone, or tablet. Despite this, the differences between Apple, Windows, and Chromebooks are minor, yet the results are consistent because you are accessing a unique website. Let me use this as an example to show what happens when you use the internet. Assume you want to drive to downtown Los Angeles. Safari, Google, Firefox, AOL, and a variety of other browsers are equivalent to the freeway on-ramp. The browser establishes a connection with your IPS, or service provider, such as Spectrum or FIOS. The service providers provide an on-ramp to the freeway, or in our case, the internet, to get you to your destination. You have access to everything once you've arrived downtown or at your desired website. If you want to go somewhere else, click on the links on the webpage, such as Griffith Park. The freeways will allow you to transition if you enter a different destination. You may be wondering how this relates to using our website to search for information. There is a tool on the website that will help you find the information you are looking for. This search only searches the Four Seasons website; unlike Google and other search engines, it does not search the internet. If you're using a computer, a magnifying glass icon will appear in the upper right corner of the screen. Unless you reduce the image to a partial screen, the icon will follow you around the Four Seasons website. When using a tablet, smartphone, or a portion of a screen to view the website, the magnifying glass shrinks to a smaller icon to the right of the links below the website title. When you search using either of the methods listed above, you may be directed to a "Sign In" screen. If you haven't already signed in and checked the "Remember Me" box, you'll need to enter the community password. If you can't remember your password, contact Jason Bardos at Four Seasons Management to get it or a new one. After you've signed in and asked the website to remember your login information, you'll bypass the "Sign In" screen in the future and go straight to the "Search" function screen. Once on the search page, you can type your query into the dialog box. It could be a single word, a complete phrase, or a description. When you click the search button, you may see several results. Each of those options directs you to a section of the website that contains the answer to your question. When you select any of the search results, you will be taken to a page that contains the highlighted search phrase. If that result isn't what you're looking for, you can always go back to the search results page by clicking the back arrow in the upper left corner of the web browser screen. Alternatively, you can select another result suggestion or change your search phrase. Learning how to use the built-in search function on the Four Seasons website allows for an efficient method of locating the unique data you seek without having to sift through the vast amount of information available on our website.
