28 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MAY 2022 Hi all! Jagger here, and I was just informed that it is my turn to write the Canine Corral article for the May Breeze. Well, I'm not much of a journalist, but I love telling everyone about the fun I am having in the Corral with my new friends. My roommate, Kona, is very boring in the Corral. All she wants to do is chase her ball or Frisbee. I have more interest in socializing with my new friends that come here. I am a big boy, (tall, dark & handsome to be precise) so I am relegated to the "Large Dog" side, where I just made friends with a beautiful tall apricot Poodle girl! (I think I'm in love!) But sometimes some of the tougher small dogs come over to play with the big dogs. Boy, those little guys are fast! I try to keep up with them, but they are so quick it makes it difficult! People ask about the Canine Coral all the time. It is a Members-Only Off-Leash area and applications for membership can be found at the front desk at The Lodge. My parents feel good that all my friends that come here are current on their vaccinations and licensing, just like me, and that everyone knows and respects the rules that keep things safe for everyone. And they wanted me to tell you that the Canine Corral Council meets the first Thursday of each month at 10 am in the RCN. Everyone is welcome to come and see what makes the corral work. It's been tough for our people to bring us to the Corral during the winter months. They get cold quick. But now that the weather is nicer, I am really looking forward to more play dates with friends. So, grab an application, have your people fill it out, and come play! ~ Jagger, teridimarino@ gmail.com Canine Corral Council Preserve Our Investment As residents here at Four Seasons' Beaumont, we all share a commitment to preserve our investment. Thus, we look to our HOA Board and Committees to review matters and make decisions that will insure our property values remain secure and that we experience neighborhood satisfaction, the criteria we used when we joined this community. The Community Planning committee has an overarching purpose, chiefly long-range planning. Members of this committee bring varied skill sets to the table, from extensive careers in architecture, engineering, and facilities management to real estate development and operations analysis. We have some openings on this committee and are recruiting candidates as we strategically plan and research the needs that will arise as we move forward in the years to come. Our Mission Statement is as follows: "Plan and implement improvements to buildings and grounds for present and future needs. Consider growth, aging, demands, opportunities, activities, and general lifestyle." If you are a creative, visionary thinker, do come visit us and consider contributing to our community as a member of Community Planning. We welcome your interest. We meet on the fourth Thursday of each month in the RCN Conference Room. Feel free to contact our Chair, Colin Taylor, at colin@yorkshire-house.com. ~ Johanna Ballard Community Planning Committee
