FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MAY 2022 29 Finance Committee May is here with the promise of longer, sunnier days. That means more time and sunshine to brighten up this community with your presence. Have you seen the refreshed Lodge Lobby? Have you noticed the new green and floral growth throughout the community? Have you visited the new shuffleboard court area at The Lodge? You are seeing the results of many people's efforts to make this beautiful place the place to be! Would you like to know more about how all of these projects happen? Do you have an interest in learning about the inner workings of our HOA? Do you have knowledge, skills or abilities that you would like to share with your neighbors? How about getting a little more mental and physical exercise, with the greater good in mind as your reason? If so, please consider joining one of our amazing committees. This HOA is a great place to live and "work." With just a short commute to The Lodge or RCN, you could have a wonderfully fulfilling second career as a Four Seasons Beaumont volunteer helping our community be the place to be. And the pay is great! Just ask any of us. In fact, the value of our volunteerism is so great, that it cannot be measured in dollars. Can you believe it? Willing volunteers happily working for free just to meet new people, learn new things, think about our HOA in new ways. Wow, what a deal! And the value, well, as the saying goes, "priceless!" Consider joining in the fun. We need your help. Our committee, as well as several others, needs more members. Come to a meeting; see what goes on. Do you have one good eye, a working brain and some time on your hands? If so, you are just the right person to join us. During the Finance Committee's regular monthly meeting held March 29, the financial statement for February 2022 was reviewed and recommended for Board approval. In addition, the Committee reviewed 10 expenditure proposals, two policy proposals, made two investment recommendations to move maturing investments to higher yield FDIC insured instruments and reviewed various sub- committee reports. On March 31, the committee held a second meeting to review three more time-sensitive expenditure proposals. Highlights of the February financial statement are: Total Cash is $11,173,725 including operating cash of $2,010,041 (checking and CDs) and reserve assets of $9,163,684. Our HOA Reserve is 98.13 percent funded. We are at a total year-to-date net income of $81,319. Homeowners are welcome to join us at the Finance Committee's regularly scheduled monthly meetings held on the last Tuesday of each month. Our next meeting will be Tuesday, May 31 at 1 pm. Enjoy a wonderful lunch, catch up on some girl talk, and watch your friends and neighbors strut the runway in the latest fashions furnished by Chico's and White House Black Market. This event is sure to be a fun and exciting afternoon and is always a sell-out! Tickets are $35 per person and go on sale, Monday, May 7 beginning at 9 am. We hope to see you there! ~ Joyce Butler, sndluv@aol.com Social Committee Facilities Committee We approved the purchase of new seating for The Lodge Theater. There was a discussion on repairing the stain at the entrance of The Lodge. The committee is requesting bids for the demolition of an old fountain located by the pickleball courts. Committee members were issued distinct responsibilities for the different areas of the community.
