46 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MAY 2022 In March, the Red Hats chapter Crown Divas enjoyed brunch at Lulu's in Palm Springs. Everyone looked elegant wearing the traditional red hats and purple attire. We celebrated three Diva birthdays. The energy is what the Red Hats are all about. Getting acquainted with new friends, sharing stories, ideas, and just having fun. And we're just getting started! Because of all the innovative members, we're sure to have many more fun events this year. ~ Vickie Santillan (Queenie), vickiesantillan48@gmail.com Crown Divas Red Hats Seasoned Solos There were some delightful trips last month and we would like to share our experiences with you. We went to the movies at the 2nd Street Cinema and then enjoyed dinner and conversation at Chili's. It is so nice to have a theater close to our community. The San Bernardino Symphony at the California Theater had a wonderful performance of Romeo and Juliet vs Westside Story. We always enjoy the performances at the theater and this was no exception. A few of us took a drive to Sunnylands in Rancho Mirage, home of the Annenberg Estate, known as the west coast Camp David. Visiting presidents conducted official business, relaxed, and enjoyed prestigious gatherings and guests. We toured the gardens and plan to return for a tour of the home. Another special day was attending a live performance of The Hott Spot, a "Play With Your Food" Event in Hemet. The play was enjoyed after a dinner and we look forward to their next event. Several of us went to see Hamilton at the Pantages Theater in Los Angeles and had lunch at the Farmers Market on Fairfax. We took a short drive to Soboba Casino to check it out and were really surprised at how welcome we felt. We played a few games and then had lunch at their Fairway Café. We sat outside on the patio overlooking the golf course and had some really good food. We hope you can join us! It is so comforting to journey out of our community with friends, old and new, and find what our surrounding cities have to offer. We meet at The Lodge to carpool. Come make new friends and join us at our next meeting on Friday, May 6 at 6 pm in The Lodge Arts & Crafts Room. Please contact Joyce Olson at (951) 850-3055 or Nyla Cheely at (951) 285-7112 for info. ~ Nyla Cheely The Four Seasons Rainbow Group continues in our mission to support the local residents who identify as LGBTQ+ and anyone else interested in our community. We usually meet on the fourth Thursday of the month in the Ballroom. We typically introduce any new members, share stories or news that might be of interest to the membership, occasionally hold potlucks, LGBT-themed movie nights, and will gladly entertain ideas from anyone. Our next event will be a general meeting on Thursday, May 26 at 6 pm in the Ballroom. Several members often have dinner beforehand in the Bistro, so feel free to join us if you wish. If you haven't signed up for our email list or feel that you did but are not receiving mail, please contact Dale at dale.beckes@gmail.com Lastly, if you haven't already joined our Four Seasons Beaumont Rainbow Facebook group, please do so. Both avenues will keep you updated on any late breaking developments or events. ~ Dale Beckes Rainbow Group NEW CLUB!
