Young at Heart I know our members love to see their names in print. We had our bocce ball tournament and dinner at the North Clubhouse. It was a fun event and lots of participants. We laughed the night away to comedian Jason Love. What a performance he gave. Members shared appetizers at their table. Boy, our members sure know how to put on a spread. We will definitely have Jason back with other comedians or with a magic show. May 7: Siete de Mayo Golf Tournament Executive Course. 1:30 check in and 2 pm shotgun. Cost is $15 for golf tournament and includes prize money and food. Cost is $10 for non-golfers. Non annuals will get twilight rate of $15 paid to pro shop at check in. There will be a margarita station. Food will be from Tacos & Beer. You may pick you own foursome. Look for a flyer sent to members. June: Dark due to Charity Week Here are a few of the events we are planning for the rest of the year. Just a reminder that if you pay for an event and cannot make it and you want to get a replacement, please make sure the people you are inviting are Young at Heart members. It's time to laugh and play for this fun-filled day. We're giving away three dinners to our Sun Lakes Restaurant as door prizes so you don't want to miss this. We gather in the South Clubhouse on Fri., May 20. Doors open at 5:15 pm and the dinner meeting starts at 5:45 pm. All Sun Lakers are welcome. Thomas Catering will be serving a special Cinco de Mayo Taco Bar! Make your own tacos… both hard shells and/or soft shell tortillas, refried beans and rice, chips, fruit salad and ice cream for dessert. What could be better? They're back… Due to popular demand (all of us), Tin Man's Heart will be singing and playing as only they can. Yes, we all love their entertainment and look forward to seeing and hearing their upbeat music. Hope we'll have a great group of dancers on the floor. Dues are $15 per year. Because of the increased cost of food, we will now be charging $20 for dinner. Guests living outside of Sun Lakes who are friends of a resident will be $24 per person. If you live in Sun Lakes, you may come as a guest one time only, and then you WILL WANT to join the club. Membership dues and applications should be made out to Social Singles and dropped off at Maggie Kline's home, 650 Brooklawn Dr. (Northside). At our meeting, you may also put your membership check in the basket on the back table. We now have open seating so you may sit with your friends wherever you like.
