Advanced Singles Match: Kim Avarell, Adal Bolano, Frank Bruckner, Gary Lile, John McQuown, Dennis Sauer, Billy Thompson, and John Williams. Doubles Match: Frank Bruckner/Ruben Carvena, Annette Kammien/Valerie Villareal, Gary Lile/Roger Ngo, John McQuown/ Howard Jackson, Dennis Sauer/Chris Jaramillo, Kenny Swanson/Billy Thompson. Tournament winners will be recognized in next month's Lifestyles Magazine. Stay tuned. Regularly scheduled play days are Mondays and Wednesdays from 4 to 6 pm, Fridays from 2 to 4 pm (April-May) and Saturdays from 10 am to 12 pm in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. On occasion, our scheduled sessions may get canceled due to other events held in the ballroom. Please check the Sun Lakes website at sunlakescc.com and click on "Community Info" then "Clubs and Group List," finally click on "Ping Pong Group" for up-to-date play schedule or check the Main Clubhouse events board across from the reception desk. There are no fees or dues as our tables and all our equipment are provided free by our Recreation Department. Laced tennis shoes are required to play - no exceptions! For more information, contact our coordinators Gary at (805) 722-7427 or text Valerie at (951) 570-3478. We are happy to answer questions and look forward to having you join us. Table Tennis/Ping Pong Featured Player: My name is Annette, and my husband Chuck and I are recent empty-nesters from Redlands who moved to Sun Lakes 18 months ago. My prior experience with Ping Pong was at the YMCA as a kid. When programs here at Sun Lakes finally opened up again, Ping Pong was the first group I joined. Originally, it was a way to work off the COVID pounds, satisfy my competitive spirit, and meet new friends. Later, it also networked us into pop tennis, pickleball, water volleyball, and golf. Ping Pong puts less stress on my knees and back, but still requires quick reaction with the paddle. Thanks to player development from core players who are committed to teach the finer points of the game, it trickles down and enhances the enjoyment of the game to all players and skill levels and creates a very welcoming and nurturing Ping Pong environment. It's insanely fun and wildly exciting! I hope to see you there!
