Hello Sun Lakes. I sincerely hope April was a great one.
Now here comes May. So, what happens in the great month
of May? Well, to start with, warmer weather. And, with
warmer weather, more reasons to get out the old (or
new) RV and travel to new places and adventures.
To that end, I have great news. Our RV club did go
on down the road during April. They mustered their
"Wagons" and headed out to two of our favorite stomping
grounds.
They first ventured to one of their favorite spots, Fortuna de Oro
in Yuma, Az. Then they circled their wagons again and headed north
to the Colorado River and the Emerald Cove Resort where they are
today as I sit here pounding my keyboard. I have even included
pictures of them having such a terrible time as to cause them all to
smile and laugh. Go figure.
Before I wander off somewhere in the unknown, let us all wish a
big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all our May RVers who celebrate this day:

May Day (May 1) is a holiday rich in history and folklore,
celebrating the return of spring! Learn about some of the fun
traditions, from May Day baskets to dancing around the maypole.
May Day has a long history and tradition in England, some of which
eventually came to America. Children would dance around the
maypole holding onto colorful ribbons. People would "bring in the
May" by gathering wildflowers and green branches, weaving of floral
hoops and hair garlands, and crowning a May king and queen. Such
rites originally may have been intended to ensure fertility for crops
and, by extension, for livestock and humans, but in most cases this
significance was gradually lost, so that the practices survived largely
as popular festivities.
