If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may wish to join our Saturday Morning Golf Group. We play on the Executive Course. Our membership includes men and women with a large range of handicaps. Our members share a love of the game. We have shotgun starts. Most of the year, October through June, the check in time is 8:30 am with a 9 am shotgun. In the summer, July through September, the check in time is 8 am with an 8:30 am shotgun. We hold monthly tournaments, an annual Club Championship competition, and quarterly dinners. Membership application forms are available in the North Pro Shop. Annual dues are only $15. During the month of May, Lady Niners will be playing their "Eclectic." This is a chance to really improve on your golf scores. At the end of the "eclectic" there will be a potluck celebration on May 26 at the South Clubhouse. We are busy preparing for Charity Week, June 6 through the 12. As always, the Niners will be sponsoring the 9th hole for the Mostro Scramble. Check us out! Our international putting green will be very festive and challenging. We will again sponsor a large gift basket for a $1 ticket chance to win. Be sure to come with your money and select several tickets in a chance to win. All money will be given to the Sun Lakes Charity Week's fund to help others in our community. How are the Lady Niners different from other golfing groups in our community? We play nine holes of golf every Thursday on the championship course. We carry GHIN handicap cards so we can participate in other golf outings, both at Sun Lakes and away. If you have questions and would like to know more about us, contact Kim Egan at (949) 466-7630 or Brenda Day at (951) 392-4009. You even have the chance to try us out before you join. Men's Golf Regarding the April 6 Beef 'N' Beer golf event: As you have already figured out, we didn't hold this event due to the sand-trap renovation project. The future tournaments scheduled for April were evaluated week- to-week by the Men's Club Board and decisions were made based on the progress with the sand trap renovation. The good news is that our superintendent says he is very pleased with the progress and skill of the "shapers" working on our traps. The target date for completion is May 20. Are you a new member? Contact Steve von Rajcs to get better acquainted with the club. For more club information, visit our Sun Lakes Country Club website under Golf Clubs & Groups – Men's Golf Club. ~ Kevin Johnson, Publicity Chairman
