| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | MAY 2022 | 27 In addition to the many joys of quilting are those very special memories stitched into every piece of fabric. Reflected in these photographs RaeNell holds dear, moments from childhood with a grandmother who passed along her love of quilting. Sandi refers to her passion for quilting as "addictive" and her photograph certainly demonstrates Sandi's 'addictive passion'! Blessed with so many talented, creative members another tremendous joy we share are the strong bonds of friendship which are forming. From its inception, this unique Club continues to be awe struck by what simple thread and colorful fabrics can create. Consistently learning from each other various techniques, pattern designs, machine capabilities, and the history of quilting, we are an expanding palette of inspiration to one another. Seasons Quilters are a diverse group from beginners to seasoned quilters and sewing together has become time we all look forward to. Meeting every first and third Thursday in the Arts & Craft Room from 12 noon to 4 pm, we often continue sharing our time together breaking bread in the Bistro. For more information about quilting, activities, fun projects and forming forever friendships through this wonderful hobby of quilting, stop by the Craft Room and see what's sewing! We would love to meet you. All Four Seasons Residents are welcome to meetings and excursions. For more Information, please contact Diane Best at (951) 816- 0449 dianequilts@verizon.net or Sharon Deuber at (760) 500-0077 YouDeserveIt@twc.com. Paper pieced Hexagon Quilt designed by Sandi Speirs Lovingly finished by RaeNell Pope in the 1990's, her Grandma handmade both quilts at the beach in Southern CA in the 1930's. Interested in Photography? Photography Has Nothing to do with Cameras Have you wanted to become better at taking photos? Have only your cell phone as your camera? Not sure where to start? Fellow resident, Pastor Dan Severa, is offering our Four Seasons community a four week course, at no charge, to make this happen. The course is intended to help you really "see" and better understand what makes a photograph good. He will discuss, among other topics, the effects of good composition, various lighting, angles, as well as the emotional response photos can elicit. His goal is to share his life-long passion for photography with you. This class is open to all Four Seasons residents and will be held in the Game Room on the first four Mondays in May (May 2, 9, 16,23) from 6 to 7 pm. Please contact Pastor Dad Severa at (760) 464-2659 to register for the class.
