ARTICLE 17 - PAINTING PROCEDURES 17.6 Painting the Exterior of a Home the "Same as Existing" Color. In order to repaint the exterior of a home the existing color, the following procedures must be followed to ensure that the exterior paint color selection is, in fact, the "same as existing." 17.6.1 A sample of the current exterior colors (stucco, trim and accent) must be taken to a paint store to computer match the colors. This may be accomplished by removing small samples of the colors from inconspicuous places on the exterior of the home. 17.6.2 A Variance Paint Application must be completed and submitted to the ACC with the following attachments: (a) A current color photograph of the house. (b) A sample of each paint color on separate 12"x12" pieces of wood, with each piece of wood painted on one side with two coats of paint, so that a "same as existing" color match can be verified by the ACC. If the ACC determines that the existing colors are not in harmony with the overall uniformity of the current Colony paint palette, it reserves the right to deny the variance application. In accordance with Civil Code #4360, Rule Making Procedures, these proposed rule revisions are presented for member review. Please provide, in writing, any comments or questions you may have regarding these revisions to the Board of Directors within 30 days of this receipt.
