The Colony is throwing a pool party, with live entertainment and America's favorite hot dogs, Nathan's! Fun in the sun sets the backdrop for California Dreamin', the ultimate party, summer fun, dance variety band. From Beach Boys, Eagles, Jimmy Buffett to three decades of classic rock, there is no better way to kick off your summer's pool party fun than with California Dreamin'. You don't just have to dream about the fun – you'll be there! Tickets are $12 per person and are available in the Activities Office. Make checks payable to The Colony HOA. Saturday Summer Nights Beginning June 4, 6 to 9:30 pm in the Patio Area Bring your beverages and snacks and enjoy the music and beautiful weather with your friends and neighbors Saturday nights on the Patio. Musical Melodies by Canyon Lake Community Theatre Sunday, June 5, 2 pm Canyon Lake Community Theatre is coming back to present a magical Broadway extravaganza. This show will include music from some old favorites and some newer shows, too. The group will be singing songs from shows such as South Pacific, Peter Pan, Sound of Music, Gypsy, Dear Evan Hansen, Seussical, Bye Bye Birdie, Wicked, and many more! The show is directed by Leslie Vecchione, with musical direction by Nate Beals and choreography by Stephanie Vecchione, and with a cast ranging in age from 4-60. This show will be held in the Auditorium, with cabaret- style seating. BYOB and snacks. Tickets are $10 per person payable to The Colony HOA. Doc Talk in the Auditorium Thursday, June 9, 10 am Dr. Leslee Cochrane has been the Medical Director of Hospice of the Valleys since 2011. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. If Covid has taught us anything, it's the importance of taking an active role in our own healthcare. This "Ask the Doc" talk will be an interactive conversation covering many topics from COVID, Dementia, Healthy Aging and how to make the most out of your doctor's appointments. We look forward to seeing you! Stevie Nicks Illusion Saturday, June 18, 7 pm SNI has been referred to as the most authentic sounding tribute to Fleetwood Mac to date! The haunting vocals and performance of Diana Grace are "Spot On" as Stevie Nicks from the early years of the 1970s, and Monty Sommer recreates Lindsey Buckingham's vocals and unique and intricate guitar work to sheer perfection! World Class musicianship combined with the chemistry and performance of all five band members is pure magic and all with no tracks ! Laurie Richardson captures the essence of Christine McVie in voice, as well as on keyboards. The band showcases the Best of Fleetwood Mac plus specially selected songs from Stevie Nicks' solo career. Dave Christensen is superb as Mick Fleetwood on drums and style, and Jeff Bennett on bass rounds out the group with his solid rock groove as John McVie! The shows are exciting as well as intimate, as they connect with the audience and engage with them in what can only be described as a magical shared musical experience! This show will be held in the Auditorium, cabaret-style seating. BYOB and snacks. Doors open at 6:30 pm and the show starts at 7 pm. Tickets are $20 per person payable to The Colony HOA.
