From the Board of Directors
Well, thank goodness the Golf Course issues that have divided
us for so long are just about over! Whew! Soon we will have the
ballots counted and the Golf Course acquisition issue will be
determined. Please be here on Thursday, May 5, to observe the
tabulation.
Now it's time for our community to come back together again.
We are so lucky and proud to live here in The Colony, and we will
need to work together toward what we as Board members have
sworn an oath to do! In case you have not heard me say at our
past Board meetings, this is our oath! We as Board members
have a fiduciary responsibility to act in the best interests of our
community and maintain, protect and enhance the values of
the assets we have here in The Colony. We (the Board) abide
by the Business Judgment Rule. We also practice these four
guidelines: 1) Act in good faith; 2) Practice fair dealing; 3) Act
within the limits of the Director's expertise, and 4) Act lawfully
and with ethical intent. If you pay special attention to number
3, that explains why we put our faith in the professionals the
Association employs.
Let's all look forward to Colony upcoming events in May:
Cinco de Mayo, Cottage Tea Party, Spring 2022 Car Show,
Memorial Day Pool Party and more. All fun events planned by
your fellow residents, staff and committees.
